Events are simple, micro pieces of data sent from your game to the SCILL cloud.
SCILL processes these events in real-time to update leaderboards, challenges, and even complex Battle Passes, and sends update notifications in real-time back to your game so you can update the user interface.
All the state is stored and processed within the SCILL cloud. You take care of your game, we take care of data management and processing.

What is 4Players SCILL?
SCILL is 4Players’ innovative engagement platform, enabling you to add challenges, leaderboards and Battle Passes to your game, app and website. Integration is straight forward and fully documented. A powerful admin panel allows content creation without any further coding, and in a fast and efficiant way.
How does SCILL work?
SCILL is a set of cloud based microservices, distributed in multiple data centers around the world. SCILL backend is built in Go and uses high tech distributed database solutions for scalability and stability. In addition to that, SCILL also runs MQTT brokers – a lightweight realtime messaging solutions for IoT – to provide realtime notifications back into the apps, so that gamers of your game get informed in real time if their leaderboard rank changed or they progressed a challenge.
As a cloud based service, everything is always in sync. You might add a leaderboard of your game to your website and it will update in realtime and completely in sync with what is happening inside the game. This way, you can build great community applications and web triggered events without messing around with cloud services and maintenance.

SCILL offers dedicated SDKs for Unity and Unreal Engine. It also supports Playfab and WebGL.
What platforms does SCILL support
SCILL has been developed to be platform agnostic and can be used on pretty much any platform and device – indluding, but not limited to PC, Apple, Linux, iOS, Android, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch.

SCILL works with all user authentication systems, being it a custom build or external offerings like Playfab, Steam, AWS and Google Cloud.
Is SCILL GDPR compliant?
Yes! As a german company, data protection is part of our DNA, and all our data services are designed around data protection.
SCILL does not store any user data, except a user ID. All private user data is stored on your side.
Of course we offer functionality via our REST APIs, which you can trigger to delete all users data. You can also request a ZIP file with all data stored for a specified user ID.
How does the free trial work?
When signing up for the SCILL Free Trial, you get instant access to our Starter Special plan for free for 14 days. At the end of your free trial period, you will receive an invoice for the upcoming payment – no payment details are required before this point. If you choose not to continue, you can cancel at any time during the free trial period.

Is SCILL secure and what data do I need to share?
Yes, SCILL is secure and does not require any personal user data to be shared!
The SCILL backend and event system only required anonymize user IDs to calculate challenge progress. No personal data will be shared between the services and any user ID data can be deleted on request. Therefore, SCILL is also 100% GDPR-compliant.
